The company has been receiving thousands of casuals in recent months and has been selecting the best among them to be used as replacements within the division. The photograph was taken in Longuyon, Meurthe et Mosselle, France on November 27, 1918.

Soldiers in World War One gathered around a group of blockhouses used as shelter and living quarters in the trenches near the Forest of Parroy. This image, taken by photographer Reco, depicts the huts built to aid the fighters in their struggle during the war.

Cpl. Keen Polk, S.C., does not appear in this image. The photograph features Cpl. F. E. Jones and Pvt. P. J. Baker, both gun pointers of Battery "C" 56th Artillery, 77th Division. The photo was taken near Mareuil-en-Dole, France on August 24, 1918. It is cataloged as item number 22833. An A.E.F. censor marked it for release on September 13, 1918.
