Just a Family Affair-- This Pacific War. Dad went along, when the three Vanskike boys went to war. Now aboart the same Coast Guard-manned LST, Army Sergt. A.C. Vanskike (third from left) and his three sons, all Army privates first class, are in there pitching together-- pitching hot lead at the Japs. This fighting Galviston, Texas, family are veterans of 27 months overseas duty during which they participated in the New Guinea invasions and the recent liberation drive into the Philippines. The sons are, left to right, Louis E., Archie R., and Clarence E.
