Supply Dropping in the Arakan: Sea 167: Bags of supplies swishing through the slip-stream of an R.A.F. Dekota over Burma. This is called a "free" drop - special packing dispenses with parachutes.Millions of pounds of supplies and equipment are flown each month by R.A.F. Dakota Transport Squadrons operating from bases in India and Burma. A big proportion of this freight is delivered by parachute. Australians are prominent in these squadrons, which fly in all weathers, by dayd and by night, over some of the worst terrain in the world, often to within a few hundred yards of the front. Clandestine Arsenal Found In Milan -- A veritable arsenal has been found in Milan during a widespread search by Italian police for illegal arms. The cache was discovered in a stable ***** to a site where building was in progress. A broken square of masonry revealed a number of very heavy wooden boxes. The building was then fired, so that the Chinese died in the flames. The main means of this horrible crime is a certain welding, which felt so safe because of his method of intimidation of the population, that he removed in Malag when the Dutch troops occupy this city. A new system of navigation developed by a British firm and used for the first time for the British Army of Liberation D-Day invasion landings on the coast of Normandy is now being turned over to peace time uses its use in ocean liners, trawlers and private yachts transport and private planes will make sea and air travel quicker and safer.
